About Our Cause
Our Mission
Carmia’s Window Charitable Fund, part of the Warren County Foundation, is dedicated to assisting individuals and organizations in need. By focusing on projects that were dear to Carmia Payne, we aim to create a positive impact on the community. Join us in our mission to provide support, opportunities, and a sense of belonging to those we serve.

Carmia Payne, the matriarch of the Payne Family passed away in 2019. During her life she was an example of many of the tenets of her faith. Forgiveness, Gentleness, Giving, and a constant pursuit of her personal relationship with her savior Jesus.
Her practice was to pray every day. She enjoyed praying right in front of her kitchen window. She often commented that she loved looking out that window to see her backyard and the many plants and flowers that gave her joy. This was her prayer closet. When an issue or an obstacle was presented to her, she would typically say “I’ll have to take that one to the window.” Many times after her prayer time, she would announce “I have peace on what I should do” and then serve as the catalyst to help solve the issue or obstacle that was presented. She was 1 of 1 in our family.
Carmia’s Window was established in honor and memory of Carmia Payne to continue the work of her life.

We provide essential support, access to faith-based counseling resources, and guidance for those looking to adopt. Our mission is to strengthen the bonds of family and offer hope to those in need. Together, we create a nurturing environment where every family thrives.
The Least of These
Helping those who are less fortunate
Carmia’s Window Charitable Fund's "Least of These" initiative supports the elderly, widows, and children in need. Inspired by Carmia's "Feed the Hungry" partnership with her local Salvation Army, her work continues. Our mission is to create a compassionate community where everyone feels valued.
